The process
While each project may vary, here is a template and example of what has worked in the past. At the start of the project we would establish this process, and check that it’s right for your community.
Initiation
The first meeting would be establishing the website 'look', and checking on the kind of functionality that your website will need.
Collect Content
You'd recieve a tailored form to collect the content and information needed to build the site. This would include text, images and video as well as anything else you want on the site.
Build
We'd go away and build the site, designing it in a way that is both usable for church and community members, but also a breeze to keep up to date and manage for your team once complete.
Consultation
We'd present the website to you, talking through the look and design of the site, and how we'd used your content. Then, we'd take revisions and and changes from you.
Delivery
Having made all the changes and confirmed with you that you're happy with the site, we'd set up the site with your user access, and train you in managing the site going forward, or offer you one of our support packages (no suprises or hidden costs here, starting at £30/monthly)
Things you might notice about this process:
- It’s simple
- It’s easy for you – just two meetings and one form to fill out
- There are no hidden costs – the price won’t change or be added to once the project has started
- You retain control of the site: JH Designs offers low priced hosting, or we can transfer the site to your own server
- The site will be easy to manage for volunteers, and we offer low-cost training sessions (in addition to the inital one at delivery) for new volunteers or team
- From start to finish this could take as little as two weeks, but will be dependant on availability. Typically the process takes 6 weeks.
